who are we?
Smith Roberts is a marketing communications company launched in 2004. That’s the short answer. The longer answer is best provided by mentioning a few of the things we’ve been up to lately.
We created ground breaking advertising for the United Church of Canada, part of a 4-year initiative that crosses all media. We have sold everything from vodka coolers to revolutionary new health software. We launched a new chain of weight loss clinics called Weightcare, and put a fresh new face on the world’s largest seller of women’s fiction, Harlequin.
And most recently, our agency has just created a provocative campaign for Colleges Ontario, which started with a fictitious product called OBAY that allowed parents to control the thoughts and action of their teenagers. It had the bloggers buzzing and the public trying to figure out who was behind the mystery brand.
Our senior team has built relationships with our clients by using a few revolutionary techniques: listening to them; learning from them; respecting them.
In other words, Smith Roberts is not interested in following tradition. We are a creatively-focused agency that has courted and won international assignments from day one; truly offered integrated solutions when most big agencies are still struggling with that necessity; and embraced partnerships with our clients, rather than settling for the old customer-supplier relationship.
So far, it’s a plan that seems to be working.
